Early spring Kyoto stream

Soon after the big earthquake and tsunami I went to Kyoto at safe distance to await better news about the situation of the damaged Fukushima nuclear power station. I was having stomach ache constantly but managed to get outside and stroll a little around in the streets though.

Kyoto is always beautiful. I had not been there before in the middle of march, and I discovered some secret beauty.  In the early spring sunshine the wide shallow streams running through the city with the hanging willows alongside bring a magical kind of atmosphere into the city.
